From June 15 to 17, 2026, Illustraciencia will organize the 6th International Online Congress of Scientific Illustration. This event is in collaboration with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), through its Deputy Vice-Presidency for Scientific Culture and Citizen Science (VACC-CSIC) and the National Museum of Natural Sciences (MNCN-CSIC), as well as the Catalan Association of Scientific Communication (ACCC). The Congress will provide a space for professionals and those interested in scientific illustration to meet and learn, and to further their development in the field.
Tania Gallego, who works as a Scientific Culture Technician in the Vice-Directorate of Communication and Scientific Culture of the National Museum of Natural Sciences (MNCN-CSIC), will present the Spain case study of the PULSE-ART project. The case study is based on scientific illustration as a bridge between education, science, heritage, and the arts. Gallego will focus on youth sharing their territorial knowledge through illustration. The presentation will be held on June 15, 2026, at 6:40 p.m. CEST.
